Ant Snowden 4 Science
I have been successfully leading and advising school on all aspects of science from KS1 through the KS4 for the past thirteen years. My great breadth of experience, vision and passion have led to me becoming a prominent advisor in the west midlands and making regular appearances at both regional and national events.
All my scheduled network meetings and bespoke support are based on a wide range of research and current best practice. In 2022 I teamed up again with Colleagues Kate Burton and Chris Ogden to collaborate in providing support for the whole of the primary core curriculum
I works with a range of ITT providers at both primary and secondary level, developing a growing arming of young teachers who now share my passion for teaching engaging and challenging science at all key stages.
I have experience teaching in a wide range of schools and to all abilities. As access to information is now almost instant, my emphasis on developing and applying skills and critical creative thinking to build knowledge through enquiry is more pertinent than ever. This is perhaps summed up by a comment from an ex-pupil: “You didn’t just teach us science, you taught us how to think!”
I am a Senior Facilitator for STEM learning, providing both scheduled and bespoke support across a large area of the West Midlands. I am also an advocate for AQA, delivering network meetings across the west midlands region.
